This backpack is incredible! The look, the functionality, and that amazing leather smell! Plenty of pockets and really high quality zippers. The craftsmanship screams quality. I got the wide shoulder straps and is very comfortable It also perfectly matches the 23” leather Sabre Tooth duffle bag I purchased from them last year. Can’t say enough good things about it Well done Western Leather Goods!
This backpack is wonderful. Very well made, very well thought out with pockets right where they're needed. I'm sorry the other person didn't get a version that has the straps that are shown online. Mine has them and they are amazing. The only problem if I had was the UPS driver delivered it to the wrong address. But I was able to resolve that the next day by contacting
The straps of this backpack are not as advertised. The photo shows wide straps with a built-in pocket and a clip to detach them. The straps that came on the bag do not have a pocket, cannot be unclipped, and are a bit skinnier which makes it uncomfortable to wear. Additionally, I was disappointed in the way in which it was packed for shipping as it was rolled up and simply wrapped in plastic. Spending this amount on a single item, I expected more intentional packaging and at least a card with care instructions. To be fair, no expectations about the packaging were set (unlike the straps) so this is not a factor in my rating of the product, just a suggestion for a better customer experience. However due to these issues, it is unlikely that I will buy a product from Western Leather Goods in the future.
I am very impressed with the quality of this backpack. It exceeded my expectations. I bought it to replace a cloth backpack I use for traveling. It has tons of space in the main compartment and small outer pockets that have smooth gliding zippers. I’m putting it to the travel test next week when we travel to Belize.
